Why didn’t Maryland do that?
Grow a pair and tell Bob to piss off. |

I’ll take things that don’t matter for $500 Alex

$500 is not an option. Even numbers $200 through $2000.

This year, Charlatan, Gamine, Hozier, As Time Goes By, Defunded, and maybe Roadster could have conceivably started. But the one that will hurt the most (if the ban holds) is probably Du Jour, who is primed for the big money in the NY Turf Triple. |

Du Jour might be a pretty nice horse. Not including him in my derby day pick 5 cost me around $3k. |

Damned if you do....damned if you don’t I guess. If they don’t ban, they get criticized. If they do...the timing of it isn’t enough for people.
Tough crowd |

It’s been what — 8 days since the news was reported on Medina Spirit’s failed test? That’s not unreasonable.
And if they made this announcement before the Preakness, how much attention does it take away from that race? And how much does it undermine the Stronachs who determined he would be able to run horses there? Not that NYRA necessarily cares about them but it’s probably not the best idea to rain on the Preakness’ parade for no reason. |

no its not damned if you do
or damned if you dont,,have the balls to do it b4 the preakness,,pretty simple,,,you would have got the question wrong for 500 ny the way

I agree. There’s likely zero chance they would have banned a horse aiming for the TC.

They’re banning him and losing the probable favorite for the Met Mile in doing so. I don’t see why it makes a difference when it was done. It was done. I realize not everything is up to your lofty standards but the reality is it took a lot of balls to ban him, regardless of when it was done. |

Pimlico didn’t ban him. Santa Anita didn’t. Whether the intelligista of the board acknowledge it or not, banning the face of the sport is a ballsy thing to do. |

Dropped the ball even though he didn’t run a race at a NYRA track over the weekend.
Makes perfect sense. |

You’ve always been an unbiased observer.
Safe to say you’ve probably criticized NYRA over a hundred times on this board and who knows how often on the train wreck twitter account of yours. How many times have you given them kudos? Over/under is 5 and I love the under. Not $20 win/place kind of love, but you get the point. |

There’s nothing to put together and I’m not apologizing for anyone. You should apologize to the board for that ridiculous signature though.
They didn’t ban him fast enough for you. Who cares? The point is they did it. If you think it was an easy decision, I disagree. That’s about it. |
