Arrow Has anyone seen this stretch run from Japan?

Check this out. Talk about flying at the end.

Thanks for posting that. the most unbelievable finish I've ever seen!!
And what about the race caller. I guess he probably is the Vic Stauffer of Japan.

Ok so the horse comes from about 20 lengths back to win a sprint. Pretty damn impressive.
But what about the call. Folks, have those speakers on when you watch this race. The call borders on the lunatic fringe.

TODO CA TODA CA TODA CA TODA CA (TODA CA)^3

Thunder Gulch thanks for posting that. It was amazing in a number of ways. My wife was laughing her guts out when she heard it from the other room. That was great. Made my day

I say the announcer bounces next time back.

What was that horse 20 lengths back in the stretch? Looked like it.

If it were Battaglia calling the race, instead of 20 Todo Ca's, you would have had just one GAAAAIIIINNNG GROUND!, just as the closing horse passed the leader.

OTOH, if it were Denman he would have caught it just as the horse moved out of last place, "and now making a strong move on the grandstand side".

Absolutely right (and hilarious) on both counts!!
I would have love to have heard Durkin call that race, and Vic probably would have had a heart attack

I can only assume that "TODA!!" is Japanese for Bald Eagle.

Thanks for sharing.

That was well worth viewing!

When I first watched, I was trying to pick out the horse that seemed most likely to close to victory in dramatic style as they entered the stretch.

Missed it.

When I watched a 2nd time, my wife said "what the heck are you watching?"

Same thing here, I told my wife I was trying to learn japanese
That reminds of this mike tyson video I found on youtube the other day. Its from the mike tyson / trevor berbick fight when tyson won his first title. The commentary is in japanese. It really brings life to the video.

I knew there was something missing from Lukes call on the Foster. Wouldn't you give anything to hear him with that voice calling Toda Ca! Toda Ca!
