Three interesting jockey statistics as we have passed the opening quarter pole in the Saratoga 2021 season.
First, 10-for-53. This is Tyler Gafflione's strike rate as he breaks into the Top 5 behind Luis Saez, the Brothers Ortiz, and Joel Rosario. Next, speaking of Top 5, the leading four have the most money earned, but without looking, who is in fifth? Ricardo Santana, Jr holds that spot. Third, 5-for-81. This is the combined record for Johnny V. and Javier Castellano. In particular, Castellano has not been getting the usual mount quality this season.
