![]() Leg 1 - Race 7
#2 La Joyeria - Solid for Dini during the AP meet. #6 Sugar Booger - 4 wins out of last 5 starts and 3 for 6 at CD for Brothers. #8 Kaylan's Rose - Nice speed figs despite not finding the winner's circle since last summer. Castro picks up the mount. (SCR) Leg 2 - Race 8 #3 Twilight Tap - Decent at the distance for Foley and making important 3rd start off the layoff. #6 Malameeze - Off since the Illinois Derby and had a nice blowout in the slop on Thurs morning. #11 Sky Diving - 2nd start off the bench for McGee and the blinkers come off after showing speed in last at KEE. Leg 3 - Race 9 #5 Little Cliff - Nice 2nd on 11/2 versus elders off layoff. Bullet on 11/12 and he should benefit from facing top 3yr olds earlier in the year. Single #4 Student Council - Has won at the trip and Howard doing well once again. #10 Throng - Was able to slow the pace down in his wire to wire victory at KEE. Leg 4 - Race 10 #3 Eight Eighty Eight - Biacone adds 1st time lasix. Has burned some money as the fav in last two. #5 Christies Treasure - 2nd for Pletcher at BEL and should close again here. #10 Spanish Lights - Mott runner should enjoy the extra furlong. Pin Oak homebred. #11 Dyancielo - Romans' 1sters are well intended and would not be a surprise. Late PK4 - 2 6 with 3 6 11 with 5 with 3 5 10 11 = $24 for a buck. ![]() Hey Bogey
Just a note to say good try the last few days in the CD 4. Reasonable analysis combined with racing luck, still, has many tickets missing a winner. I knew Pletcher would start heating up as he has phenomenal stock and his horses are working lights out. Two of my last three tosses won today, and one of my keys appeared to injure herself. How about Bejarano,Romans, Bejarano,Bejarano for some $3200. for a buck!!! A friend called me as I was posting and bagged it with a $150 or so ticket, which to me eliminates the fun. I move from forum to forum and nationally people tend to underestimate the difficulty at CD because of the field sizes and changing conditions. The pick six players show up here and there because of the volatility, nothing like in NY or California, where the pick 6 is the only bet. I'll move my selections to NOLA.com after the meet ends and have had more success at Oaklawn and Louisiana, despite my extensive knowledge of Kentucky racing. Outside of Ky, I play the pick 4 once or twice a week, and even with my computer liabilities, I can make solid plays. I require four to five hours on a normal pick four. At any rate, just wanted to wish you good luck and enjoy your analysis, but had a couple of questions regarding this forum; what is ATRAB? I see it everywhere. And do you notice that you and I, "get little or no readership" on our pick four selections and thoughts, yet this guy "hooves", who clearly throws darts at the wall and lists four or five selections per race without any rationality does??? Whats up with that? Good cappin. BBB |

![]() none needed..you are a very good capper i can tell from the way you play...the reason i use the multiple horses is for those people who arent as exp can get involved ...using others to make exotic plays...this may seem a dart throw prop..but it works well for all..steve has used this for a wile and it tends to put people on horses they might not have looked at for the ext tri ect....

![]() Since another cappin acquaintance has called asking if I hit the four yesterday I thought I would recap my play and try to find what went wrong.
Race 7 We went three deep and Albert's Bride could have been tossed. La Joyeria was a tough read because Dini took her for only $15K and had won some 80 thousand, so why not put her in for a tag and as could have been suspected, she had no punch AND found a new home. The clear winner was Aunt Dot Dot. Skaggs took her for $30K and gave her some time then put her where she belonged and she delivered. He moved into a tough allowance and she was beat two lengths. A tough dirt allowance at Mountaineer resulted in a very good second but created a problem; where next? Skaggs could not run for 2X at keeneland as too tough so he selected a 6 1/2 50K claimer, also a difficult spot. This was the tip off race as she exploded late on the outside into sizzling late fractions, on a day where inside speed dominated. Boom Raffie's agent calls and they settle on a mile dirt race for forty, but the track is awful and she runs an even third while being well bet. The hood comes off, and back to the green for an eleven dollar mutuel. Race 8 Within fifteen minutes I am down to the two I played and the two 3yo's coming off mini vacations. Blotto seems likely to improve and figures 2-1 but notice that He Loves Me not only ran on the same day, at the same distance and actually ran faster and since the geld has been hickory. I figured the other three are all between 9-2 and six to one and am shocked when Bridled Quest pays some $54. This is the type of horse that Steven Christ writes about in his latest book and should have been an a A plus selection. Thorograph had this colt with a five (many lengths faster than any of the others) in his last and as a homebred Unbridleds Song coming off a clear score, from a top barn....well you get the picture and its not a pretty one. 9) Quick name the six tracks that offer one turn miles! Someone mentioned that Student Councli won at this trip, but in reality both Little Cliff and 'Council have been AWFUL going one turn. Each has had three tries and zero competitive efforts. That leaves two and there is your exacta. 10) Went two deep in a three horse race! End of story. When you mix poor cappin with weak ticket construction pain often ensues. A few tenets that will help some people: Blinkers on/ Blinkers off Never look at the trainers record with this move, it is a false statistic (the DRF is full of them) and totally irrelevant. A much better angle is too look for a jock who rides for the first time, then "requests" the switch. Always seperate one turn races from two turn events. Aside from the normal distance progression of youngsters, two turn horses do not win one turn races and vice versa. Always, objectively review your plays. I almost always go to the TG site, red board room the day after. Lastly keep track of your spacing; both with horses and yourself. Horses with proper spacing win more than their share, and for cappers the same. Four pick 4 plays, in four days, for this capper is far far too much. Playing Wednesday. Good cappin. BBB |
