Default Toga trip 8/4-8-8

flying up thrus am from lville. appears that temps are going to be very high on thurs. in the back of my mind i know that Sar has cancelled racing due to heat in the past. anyone have a feel on what is acceptable temp and when they will let people know they are canceling.

Also looks like weather gonna suck this weekend which isn't surprising b/c i am coming up. awesome. any info on cancellation due to heat is welcome. thank you.

As of now there is around a 40% of maybe a third of an inch of rain on Friday and pretty much none the rest of the week. That means the weather is going to suck this weekend?

looking at weather underground doesn't look good. is it your experience that the rain passes pretty quick? its saying 64% on Friday at 3pm 44% on Sat at 3pm. you thinking it hits and moves? only been to Sar one time. What about the heat on thurs? is there a number that nyra says hey thats just too hot.

im not trying to be a smartass like a lot of people on here, just asking questions before i spend 2-3k(which is a lot for me) for 4 days and looking at weather forecast and not feeling awesome about it.

The weather can be crazy here. Pouring at the track and nothing a mile away....or vice versa. Nothing is ever guaranteed, that's for sure. I use darksky.net, and while it can change, as of now, the rain appears extremely minimal, at most a quarter of an inch on Friday.

Don't worry about things you cant control. It's a waste of time. Couple of summers ago I went up there for the day (about a 3 hour drive each way) on what was supposed to be a spectacular Thursday with not a cloud in the sky. Long story short, they cancelled after the 4th because of a monsoon that rolled through so fast that they didn't have time to seal the track.

Guess what two hours at Saratoga, even in the rain is still better than anything else I might have done that day.

Enjoy it, you're gonna have a great time.
