Default WED/AQU: $5MM Darley 3yo Debuts..

It only took till December of his 3 year old year, but $5.2 million Darley purchase EVER SHIFTING makes his debut in the 6th at AQU Wednesday (from Tom Albertrani's shed)...

And also of note in this event is Ed Evans homebred MARITAL ASSET, returning after a year's injury lay-up... You may have a vague recollection of this A.P. Indy bay from Hennig, as he was a good second last year to Corintian in his second start (11/26/05-AQU) or his debut (10/28/05-BEL), when third behind My Golden Song..

Interesting race.. 3 other firsters including a KMc entry (Marablue & West Point) and a Dale Romans-helmed Louis Quatorze bay for M/M Poston..

Wow, I do remember Marital Asset - he ran a good 2nd, too. I wondered if he'd ever make it back. Thanks Steve!

He's been hanging out with Flashy Bull & Deputy Glitters, catching a few beers and laughing at all the fools who bet on them so many times.

Thoroughbred Times TODAY has his stallion ad for Valor Farm in Texas. $3,000 and you can have little money burners running around of your own.

Whoa there Trigger...

Deputy Glitters lit the board at 60-1 behind BluCat in the Sam Davis... And those fools did pretty well when he upended BluCat in the TB Derby at 9-1 too... Deputy Glitters rewarded his supporters plenty this spring.

He also was key helping me score in the Preakness when Albertrani told me that DepGlit couldn't stay within 10 lengths of Bernardini in the mornings. That helped prompt me to put Bernardini over Sweetnorthernsaint as the 1./2. in the selections..

DEPUTY GLITTERS WINNING AT TAMPA

Sorry I was one of those who supported him in his races after those mentioned above, so was more laughing at myself. (but luckily had Bernie & Jazil in the Preak & Belmont as well)

Do you know the status on him?

That's a good question... I'll check with Albertrani. Haven't heard a word since the Haskell. I assume owner Joe Lacombe would want him to run back at 4, but he obviously is on the shelf... Though he didn't run great after the TB races, he did win the Ohio Derby in July at a good price... Maybe 7-2?

Thanks. On the morning line he was 7-2, not sure what he went off at though.

Actually the Ohio Derby has several "where are they now" runners. High Cotton, Flashy Bull, Sacred Light and Sayhellotolarry.

4-1... I went to the Ohio Derby, and while it was a great race I wasn't exactly enthralled with Thistledown...
