VERY nice day of racing!!!
For anyone who has had the Breeders Cup hangover blues, or anyone whos been a tad "disappointed" in the recent weekday cards the last month(Lets face it, they have been brutal in terms of quality like they always are in late year) this is a SPLENDID day of racing.
Fair Grounds- La champions day. Big fields, quality runners, turf and dirt, long and sprints. Calder- Outstanding card with stakes races, lots of grass, high quality allowances. Hollywood- HUGE fields, quality racing including a competitive grade one race, and a carryover. Aqueduct- Carryover, a compact but quality grade three race, and big fields with far above average allowance and maiden special weights for the inner dirt. Quite frankly I haven't seen a day of racing from top to bottom at multiple tracks this good since the Breeders Cup. Its a really good day to focus on making some money and putting the time in. The malls will be packed and there is no college football on for the first time since August on a Saturday. Send the wife or husband and the kids to the mall or a movie today, get out the red gel pen and the DRF and get to work. |

Not to mention for those so inclined you can cap off your day at Hong Kong which has a card with basically 4 GR1 races as well as several other competitive races.
