Default Cowboys get humiliated, NFL Sunday

I thought the Saints served serious notice last night about exactly which one of those two teams has the best shot to get to the Super Bowl.
Cowboys now have to face Atlanta(who is playing much better the last two weeks) in Atlanta on Saturday.
A Cowboy loss coupled with a Giant win at home would put the Giants alone in first place(they own the tie breaks over the Cowboys).
Giants finally play a game without self destructing and try to hobble along until the injured guys can get healthy.
Seahawks just aren't the Seahawks of last year obviously.
Looks like both Leinhart and Young are gonna be very good NFL quarterbacks.
Bills and Losman keep playing very well and have fans asking themselves where the hell this kinda play was the last couple of years.
Bengals are absolutely steaming now, and have a huge chance to beat the Colts who seem to have stopped playing defense altogether.
Patriots seem to be a notch below having a real shot to go anyplace after being shut out following a bad win against Detroit.
Jets dream dies.
KC dream dies also.
Chargers just roll along like a machine.
Eagles just may be a better team with Garcia.
And its still pretty cool to see Brett Favre moving the ball and pumping that fist at this stage in his career. What a warrior!!

There is no question that Saints coach Payton should be
coach of the year. Also Drew Brees has turned into a solid QB.
LaDainian Tomlinson has a chance to score 35+ TD's during the
regular season. J.P. Losman is becoming a nice productive QB
for the Bills now more calling him J.P. Loserman. Nice to see
Jeff Garcia doing well filling in for the Birds. No interceptions in
his 2 starts for the Eagles. Still the Eagles fans want Feely to start
they are F ing nuts. Mike, right on about Favre this guy
loves playing football.

How great is it to see a guy with the intense passion and love of the game like Brett Favre?
Heres a guy who knew his team was going nowhere this year, and coulda retired or tried to force a trade. There he is, out there every week on an outmanned team, still playing all dinged up, stil throwing td's and still pumping that fist even though the games hes playing dont mean a thing. How do you not respect and love a guy like that?
Guy obviously has at least another year in him. Love to see him go to a contender next year, even if its as a backup to someone. Guy deserves to go out on top. Hes a warrior and a throwback to the old days when athletes played for the love of the game.

Arena football, lol!!
This season appears to be a tale of two seasons, with the teams who dominated early getting smoked now, some teams who were disappointments getting on track now, and I think the playoffs are gonna be a true wide open affair where any team can win and get to the Super Bowl.
Rex is under the microscope tonight, with Griese coming in if they get in trouble. Bears are a good team but can't count on scoring 2-3 defensive and special teams touchdowns every game.

I dunno Scav, I mean they win with defense and special teams. You musta known that a long time ago.
They have three very easy games after this, so home field throughout is pretty much assured.
You do have the luxury of being able to use the last 4 games as "training" games to try and work on the weak points.
You'll be looking at playing someone like the Seahawks, Giants, or Falcons in the first round. You've already handled two of those three.
I wouldn't go getting too down on them yet. I doubt anyone is gonna beat whoever survives the AFC slugfest, but to have a chance to win the Super Bowl you gotta get there first.
I'd think that the Saints are emerging as the team to challenge you, espeically since they look like a team that will get the 2nd seed this year.
That leaves them a home game to start in a pumped up dome and that crazy offense is really humming.
Can you take them at Soldier Field if it comes down to that?

Bears can handle anybody in the NFC in the playoffs easily except the Saints.
Even though the Bears defense is kickass, they just can't score.
A team like the Saints is gonna be impossible to shut down for 4 quarters and they will score no matter who they play. Bears will have trouble matching scores with a team like that. Thats the only team I see that can stop their march to the Super Bowl.

Does anyone think if Rex Grossman struggles again but Bears win with
great defense that Lovie Smith makes a change next week to
Brian Griese as starting QB.

You're still sore at the fact that you had the Razorbacks to win... haha.

The Gators are going to have a tough time, I agree... ALTHOUGH, OSU has yet to play a defense as fast as ours. I doubt it's a blowout like everyone keeps saying. Regardless, GO GATORS!

I woke up this morning before coming into work for OT, and just thought to myself how I needed to go get some beer after work for the game tonight. Then I started getting all nervous thinking about Grossman potentially handing the game away tonight -- and it ruined my morning.

I won't discount McFadden. He's incredible. Do you live in Orlando, hooves? My two college teams are the Gators and LSU and you can't ever find any LSU fans around here (I live in Orlando.)

Yep, that's a pretty good hike from here. It's pretty there, though... a buddy of mine is actually stationed there for a few months.

Were you there for Ivan?

We got lucky during Charlie... the roof stayed on our house, although because of Jeanne, our rental house had to have the roof replaced. Never saw that check from FEMA either. And let me tell you, that was the first time I've ever had a tough time dealing with State Farm. 2004 was a crazy year... Sorry you had to go through that.
