Default Carroll to Chargers?

When is the last time a 14-2 head coach got fired. Has there been one? I feel bad for the guy. It wasn't his fault his players made some bonehead plays. They win that game without those penalties. I think they should keep him.

i suppose you would have done a better job. thats why they pay you the big bucks. Coach Pete will never leave Southern Cal.

Good call on Pitt. I think you are right. What a plum job that is. Like a 10 year contract no matter what.

i know pitt interviewed someone else as well, name escapes me...but supposedly a lot of the players want russ grimm. he always seemed like a good guy, very level-headed. very professional as a player and a coach.

and yeah, you couldn't ask for a better team to coach for than the steelers and rooney.

I think the decision not to run LT more may have had a lot to do with it. If he was fired. And I thought the call was made by the offensive coor., Marty did not even have his headset on. Oh well, it was his offensive coordinator.

steelers interviewed chan gailey, the georgia tech HC. i don't understand why. they wanted an answer from cowher so they didn't lose wisenhunt and grimm both. just give grimm the job so he can find a another good OC !

Steelers are conducting second interviews this week with the 3 they have it narrowed down to: Grimm, Tomlin and Rivera .... Grimm appears to be the front runner and the local media seems to think he could have it by week's end ... not sure when they can do anything with Rivera since the Bears are still in it.

a few Chargers players came up small in the 4th qtr......the head butt after the stop on 3rd and long.....then the int and fumble with 6 mins left and leading 21-13....he barely had control of the ball...take a knee or better yet knock the ball down...but its easy to 2nd guess from an armchair

the head butt was a complete bone head move..and it really cost them.
