Default Aqueduct Handicap/Liquor Cabinet

According to the DRF, Liquor Cabinet wore aluminum pads on both front feet today in the Aqueduct Handicap.

The NYRA website didn't list this in the changes/scratches, i didn't see this info on Youbet and I did not hear the change announced as i listed to the race, although it i may have missed it.

While Liquor Cabinet won for fun, aluminum pads are usually a negative sign. Shouldn't this equipment change have been more prominently mentioned, if it was mentioned at all?
