Default On The Bus is in Foal

I see on todays changes at Belmont that On The Bus is in foal. Just asking the more experienced handicappers how in foal mares typically run. Thanks in advance.

They run well in general. Not an issue.

Hard to say because it doesn't happen all that often...or at least if it does then not many people know about it....but, I think is was Spain that won her final graded stakes in foal if I'm not mistaken, so they are obviouslt eligible to run well....still though, I can't see to where it would be a positive thing in most cases...if they go into heat and don't train to be shipped to a stud farm to be covered, I can't see how that ruitine change could help matters when it comes to her having to successfully race..

I wouldnt play her. I was pretty sure that in foal that she would not be on Lasix as she usually is. Looking for an announcement on that. Biancone raced one last year who was in foal and she had her lasix taken away.

Good point...if the mare had any sot of ailments or needed any sort of meds to help her perform like most racehorses do, then it is obvious that she may not get the normal treatment from the vets if certain meds could effect her pregnancy at that infant of a stage...can't see where being pregnant would be a positive thing when it come to racing, but again, some fillies have run through it and won pregnant at high levels...but it probably takes the right mare to do that

Caressing won a Grade 3 at Arlington while in foal, it isn't impossible, but would you want to run when knocked up?
