Default funny cide vs wilko

it seems like both horses have lost the will to win, or even compete at this point. both have some huge wins on the resume, so im wondering if there was a match race between them, who do you guys think would win ?

i think funny cide would handle him, easily....

Huh, they both have huge wins? Where exactly other than the BCJ does Wilko have a big win? Funny Cide won a Grade 1 as an older horse, while finishing first in two legs of the triple crown and third in the other. There is no comparison here.

Funny Cide's resume overwhelms Wilko's and it isn't even really close. Christ, he even won a graded stake last year at age 6. A match race between those two today is moot, I could care less. At their respective bests, Funny Cide destroys him, which is all that matters.

the post was not intended to compare resumes i realize funny cide destroys him, and in prime i also agree funny cide would roll, but today if they raced who wins ?

It would depend entirely on who the other horses were in the race as pace scenario usually makes a race. Funny Cide hasnt seen the track in quite some time so I would give the edge to Wilko right at the moment given an evenly matched group of speed & closer types.

To reinforce, Wilko has one "big win" on his resume and it was a 2 year old race so I dont give that much credit. Horses shouldnt even race until they are 3 in my opinion. Funny Cide has 3 very good grade 1's, we all know he isnt the horse he once was.

Have always been a sucker for Wilko and it has cost me. Was my Derby pick that year and have waited for him to return to form. Feel Funny Cide wins as have not seen any acceleration or fight in Wilko in some time. His allowance Sat was ok but again one-paced and he did have a good trip.

On the topic, Funny Cide has at least been competitive aside from his 2005 effort in the four years since he was the TC series darling. What has Wilko done the last 27 months or so?

I thought Wilko's Dubai race last March was better than anything Funny Cide has ran since 2004. But apart from that he has been flat.

Not sure why people continue to expect any real good performances from either of these horses. Like that song says, "They've seen better days".

Wilko was a wind-aided second in Dubai after Brass Hat got the screw job to end all screw jobs.

Hes doing good buddy, thanks for asking. You want a barn tour? You coudlnt afford to put shoes on him bub, dont be a smartass, its real stupid when you are busted and disgusted.

If you had any clue at all youd realize that horse needed a race. He was essentially unraced since Keeneland.

As for Wilko, wait till the Big Cap and look me up.

I just like the horse, have always liked the horse. Carries a lot of class, hes gritty when he feels good. He will run well off his last race, hell improve. I dont understand what more you could expect coming off chip removal and intestine surgery.

What Im talking about in regard to Westwon is the cheap dig thrown by a 10 cent super betting douchebag

You insulted me when you threw a dig at a horse I have a vested interest in.
