Default Graded Earnings

Haven't seen this posted yet. http://tcm.bloodhorse.com/viewstory.asp?id=37593

It looks to me that there are 8 horses that would be in the race without running again... Can't imagine $500k not getting you in the Derby.

Barring injury (or an extreme drop in form) Street Sense, Circular Quay, Birdbirdistheword, Great Hunter, Stormello, Scat Daddy, Nobiz Like Shobiz, and Notional will be in the Derby starting gate. $150K has typically been enough and $200K a lock but depending on how the major stakes play out that might not be the case this year. Whether anyone comes from the UAE Derby will have an impact as well.

Yes it was. I was wondering if that race is graded. It must be a GIII now if he's a lock to get in.

It became a grade 3 for the first time making the winner of that a race a lock to gain Derby entrance now.
