Default 1/31: Gulfstream Park (5th-10th); Santa Anita (5th-8th)

Enjoyed a big day Wednesday, the kind of necessary afternoons that keep you fluid during a challenging meet like that at Gulfstream. Interesting element to the sequences was the fact that $19 Saratoga Blitz (9th) was the only winner that was a little tricky to find. Madam Grace got away at 7-1 in the 6th, but was 3-1 on the ML and very much one of the obvious candidates. The other multi winners were 2-5, 3-1, 3-1 and 7-2! Hope everyone did well. Rainbow 6 approaching $1,000,000..

GULFSTREAM PARK

PRE-SCRATCHES

5th: OC/N1X, F&M-4+, 5f-T/96' (P6, P3, DD)

$918k Rainbow 6 C/O starts here..

4 of these (3-5-7-9) exit similar 1/9 heat that saw Spun Cap win blanket finish photo. Likely need to use all of them and War Prospector to get through first sextet hurdle..

Walder took Flyin Trey for $15k in April and obviously got stuck returning him 9 months later for $6k. May be damaged goods but worktab solid enough to expect effort and Anderson OK's Rosario getting aboard..

Most Likely: #7 Flyin Trey 2-1 2nd

Best Value: #2 Positive Action 8-1 5th

5th- Probably going to single #9 Heaven Knows What on the jock change and 3rd off the layoff
6th- The 2 favorites look tough to me. #7 Flyin Trey drops off the clai and a long layoff but has a win at the level. #9 Longer Terms Doug has 2 wins at the level and drops today.
7th- #3 Side Road makes the 2nd start off the layoff and looks for the right level. #1 Reflecting has ran well in his last two and won off the last layoff.
8th- Going to single #7 Port Conway off of the last few Beyer figures.
9th- This is a very tough race for me. Really interested to see what #10 Case Cracker can do in here. Going to use 10, 8, 11, 9 and the entry.
10th- Another tough event to close out the card and Rainbow Six sequence. #10 Scandalo will be the top selection but I will also use #9 Indygo Prince and #4 Mecke Mantle.

As always, follow me on Twitter @ThoroughbredRD for any updates or additional selections/wagers.

Great job yesterday...keep it going today man, you deserve to put some days together.

Thinking that playing the massive carryover Rainbow 6 is just not worth chasing on a daily basis. With so many people playing you need to come up with 3 or 4 illogicals just to have a chance...and even that may not be enough.

I'm thinking of waiting for an off the turf miserable day to jump into it. The kind of day that a lot of bettors will just pass on the card entirely, eliminating the kind of numbers we are up against to get a single winner. Find some mid range horse to hang my hat on, then spread 4 or 5 deep in the other legs.

What's your take on when to play that wager?

I know they don't take it on the site, but I think they do at the tracks and OTW's.

It's really to the point now, where it would almost take an act of God to hit that thing.

Thx.. We've been debating how/if to play it all week on the show. Have heard some interesting takes. Will start a thread about it and we'll get everyone's input.
